Pretty much another uneventful day. The roads are getting hillier, it can’t stay flat forever. At Fletcher we met Pam who always offers cross country cyclists a futon to sleep on. She gave us bottled water shared stories of other cyclists that had passed thru. In the town of Denver we ate at a diner that had us sign their ‘BIKE BOOK’. A binder filled with names and writings of cyclists who had dined there since 1986. Pete spotted the signature of Tulsan Richard Abbott who ate there in 1995. Kevin and I sagged in with Marisha to get a jump on blogging and laundry. Kevin didn’t realize a surprise awaited him. His wife Sarah, her sister Sandy and Sandy’s husband Greg had driven up from Kentucky to visit for the evening. We ate steaks and chatted thru the evening.
I love Children of the Corn photo. Can't wait for John to see it!
