Woody’s Restaurant
North Coast Inland Trial Sylvia and Kevin
Another perfect day for a bike ride. It might have made the 80 degree mark. Winds were favorable. The terrain was unbelievable flat. My max speed was 22.5 and that was achieved pedaling with a tailwind. In Fremont we went to Fremont Cycle and Fitness. Sylvia had a rattle she thought was associated with her left pedal. The owner/mechanic, Tom, found a loose mounting bolt on her rear rack. Bill bought a new jersey so now we can auction off the ancient purple/pink one. Do I hear $5? Tom also told us how to get to the North Coast Inland Trail and recommended that we eat at Woody’s. An old drive in restaurant similar to Coits in OKC it even makes its own Root Beer like Coits. As we started to leave Woody’s Sylvia noticed her rear tire was completely flat. We changed it the headed North Coast Inland Trail. We’re very close to Lake Erie. Along the paved rail-trail Sylvia kept thinking her rear tire was getting soft. After a short break she noted her tire was defiantly on the softer side. We found the cause to be a defective tube that failed where the valve stem is patched to the tube about an inch from the stem itself. Most of the excitement today evolved around the anticipation of meeting up tomorrow with Kamla. She flew into Cleveland today and will meet us at tomorrows endpoint. Her easy going nature and warm smile will be a welcomed addition to the group and give Sylvia relief from being the only girl.
I thought he was going to throw that jersey away!
