We rode the Eric Canal through Rochester all the way to Palmyria then ate lunch in a small canal side dinner decorated straight out of Pottery Barn. Later Kevin bought us all Donut Peaches at a roadside stand as we headed northward. We saw a double blooming Rose of Sharon bush. Then as we approached a turn we saw an old Morris Mini Cooper with Lake Ontario in the background. During our break near the Cooper a couple came by and gave us cookies to eat. We also found an old house that was built in 1832. It is made of fist sized stones that were found in Lake Ontario. The owner said that is was used during the underground railroad. That evening we stayed in a complete dive of an hotel. It was like a rat’s maze to try to get to the room. The bartender watered down our drinks towards the end of the night. Lesson: watch the bartender mix your drinks…we didn’t realize were at a juice bar the last hour and a half last night doing nothing but increasing the establishment’s profit margin.
Humm - Lesson: leave bar earlier......
