Day 85: Schoodic Peninsula Acadia NP

Back in the day French vessels would hide behind the Porcupine Islands to attack the British. A modern cruise ship almost dwarfs one of the islands now
the start of the challenging anvil trail hike
Sylvia’s mom tries out the plush seating offered by a thick layer of moss on a tree root
moss growing in the fractures of a rock
picnicking near the anvil trail’s end
unbelievable fragrent roses near our picnic
checking out the cool dock Chip recently rebuilt
a hardshell lobster before heading home
