day 4 making it to Okanogan

We left early and had a nice breakfast in Winthorp. Then spent a couple hours in its bike shop. I bought a handle bar bag which is a nice thing to have to keep things handy. Then we rode a short distance to the town of Twisp and had a nice lunch to brace us for the big climb. Loop Loop pass is just over 4ooo feet and it took 12 miles of constant relentless climbing to make it. We waited for everyone to make it then had the funnest descent of the trip I reach 45.1 mph as we raced to a shower at the Okanogan fairgrounds followed by a campside dinner where the mosquitoes did most of the dinning. Didn't take many photos today the terrain is more New Mexico like than what you would think WA to be like.
around 60 miles
11:15 time from hotel to camp
average heart rate 96
4200 calories
Looking forward to rereorganizing my stuff to take advantage of the handlebar bag and climbing another pass tomorrow along with another 60 miles.

  1. Just thinking about 45 mph makes me want to squeal! (and tinkle)
