Bill revisits his birthtown
Another glorious day. Smooth roads, tailwind, blue sky’s, temp in the 80’s and no baggage on the bike. Marisha and Pete took turns driving the sag wagon. We had a great breakfast at the Iroquois Café then breezed into Indiana with only a change in pavement to note the new state. Since Bill was born in Rensselaer we deviated course slightly to visit his birthplace. The local bike shop tightened the locknut on Kevin’s rear gears and directed us to a drive-in for lunch. Then it was off to camp at Thrasher Woods campground eating dinner at Buffalo and then sipping good beers by the campfire.
woo hoo, Thrasher Woods!!! I camped there, the year I quit and DNF my cross country.
ReplyDeleteNice folks there. Let me camp for next to nothing.
